History of C.E.C Tutoring Centers
In 1973, C.E.C Tutoring Center started in Saigon as Long Distance Learning Center. It was cofounded by Tuan Nguyen and Lam Nguyen, two university students. The center provided continuing education to military and civil servant students, who couldn't attend day schools. It helped the students with their studies, books and school registrations. In 1989, the center opened as Children English Class, located at 7 Tran Cao Van Street, First District, in Saigon.
In 1994, Mr. Lam Nguyen immigrated to San Diego. He worked for the San Diego City School as a primary teacher and as a tutor at San Diego Mesa Community College. He graduated from University California at San Diego majored in Computer Science.
To fulfill his mission of helping all students to excel, Mr. Lam broke ground for the first C.E.C Tutoring Center in San Diego. The center has operated over ten years, helped thousands of San Diego students be successful, attain their full potential and sail toward their bright future. It has accomplished what Mr. Lam had envisioned as well as carried out his calling as a dedicated educator.
